Volunteering

Volunteering is still at the heart of VANEL.

“Volunteering is someone spending time, unpaid, doing something that aims to benefit the environment or someone who they’re not closely related to. Volunteering must be a choice freely made by each individual.”
National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO)

The Volunteer Centre @ VANEL can help people get involved in volunteering so get in touch and find out how you can make a difference today.

If you’re an organisation engaging with volunteers then find out about our Volunteer Development Service (VDS) here and our Volunteer Network Meeting (VMN) which are part of that service.

Visit our Volunteering Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/volunteergy

Speak to Liz at VANEL about all things volunteering.

If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer then please contact Liz too.

VANEL runs a number of initiatives that support very specific types of volunteer:

Our support for Neighbourhood Watch acknowledges that all those involved in Neighbourhood Watch are volunteers themselves.

We can provide bespoke governance and trustee support and training – all trustees and committee members are often unsung volunteers and we’re here to support them too. (Speak to Karl at VANEL)
