Big Local North Cleethorpes is a resident led, Lottery funded programme which, over the course of 10 years aims to improve the area known as North Cleethorpes for the benefit of residents and those visiting.
Whilst this Green Cleethorpes project covers the whole of Cleethorpes, we’ve been focusing closely on encouraging an exploration of green spaces around North Cleethorpes and have been working with Big Local on this.
Sidney Park in North Cleethorpes is the oldest formal park in Cleethorpes, and the development of a ‘pocket park’ down near North Beach is probably one of the newest green space ideas. So we’re exploring ways to connect people with all these spaces.
In North Cleethorpes you’ll find:
Sidney Park
Sussex Recreation Ground
The Pocket Park development
Pier Gardens
Dolphin Gardens
and plenty of smaller green spaces.
We’ve created a circular walk around North Cleethorpes that takes in all of these local green spaces and places. The route has a shorter version and a longer version, but you can walk it in many ways exploring the spaces at your own pace.
Explore our North Cleethorpes circular routes.
Of course there are many other walks across Cleethorpes, but this one introduce you to the green spaces across North Cleethorpes.
Maps
We’ve prepared a map detailing these walking routes around North Cleethopes whilst explaining a bit about the history of the green spaces too.
