National Volunteers Week is almost upon us, and so to celebrate, VANEL’s Volunteer Manager’s Network are holding a Volunteer Recruitment Fair. The fair will take place on Friday 2nd June 2017, 10 am to 2 pm in the Floral Hall, People’s Park, Park Drive, Grimsby.
Meet representatives from local organisations such as NAViGO, YMCA, the Youth Offending Service and find out how you can help the lives of other people through volunteering. There will opportunities that suit people with different interests and skills so whether you are volunteering to find paid work or want to give something back to the community, come and find out how you can get involved. There will be free family activities to get involved in such as 15 minute Thai Chi sessions delivered by Sylvia Leary of the Care Plus Group, face painting for the children and other fun activities are planned. Refreshments will be available and whatever the weather, this indoor and outdoor event will definitely take place! You can even enjoy a walk around People’s Park afterwards!
