The National Youth Agency in partnership with O2 Think Big is launching an exciting programme aimed at young people aged between 17 and 25-years-old in the UK. The Environment Now (TEN) will fund young people up to £10,000 to use digital technology to find innovative solutions to pressing environmental issues.
Alex from O2 Think Big and Heather from the National Youth Agency will be heading to the YMCA from 1pm until 3pm on Tuesday 29th November 2016, to hold a Thinkspiration workshop with young people to discuss their ideas for projects which help to improve the environment. Your project could focus on improving energy efficiency, reducing waste or encouraging people to recycle. Digital technology will be instrumental throughout, helping you to promote your project, increase awareness of the issue, and create a solution. Over the course of the programme you will receive mentoring, engage in work experience, and benefit from insight sessions with industry professionals to help bring your ideas to life!
If you are interested in coming up with, or discussing an idea, for a project which helps to improve the environment, join Alex and Heather at the workshop.
Confirm your place at the workshop by contacting VANEL’s IGNITE Youth Development Manager Jenny Hodson. Call (01472) 315 437. Alternatively, you can email Jenny@vanel.org.uk
