Applications for funding from The People’s Heath Trust ‘Active Communities’ annual “Healthwin” are now being accepted. Organisations’ and groups from around North East Lincolnshire are encouraged to put forward their ideas about how to improve the physical, social and mental health of their community and apply for funding from “HealthWin” to turn that idea into a reality.
“Healthwin”, is a regional programme which aims to strengthen community ties and improve areas by providing funding for projects designed and run by local people. Maybe you want to set up a local youth centre, or fund a community-based art or music project where people can come together and be creative. The possibilities are endless. Communities of interest are also invited to get involved and submit their ideas. Communities of interest are classed as groups of people who have things in common and who wish to come together to create or improve something within their community.
Organisations’ and communities of interest can apply for “HealthWin” funding between £5,000 and £25, 000 for up to two years. The spectrum for funding is vast, so if you have an idea for a project which will benefit your community, come along and talk to VANEL. We can help guide you through stage one of the two stage online application process. Our Community Development Intern Chris Luckman will be working closely to support “HealthWin” applicants’ in this way.
