Investigating Deaths in Custody: Free Event at University Centre Grimsby

Bryan Woodward, ex  Senior Fatal Investigator for the Prison and Probation Ombudsman will be delivering a guest lecture at University Centre Grimsby on Tuesday 28th March at 5pm.

Bryan has over 30 years of experience in the criminal justice system, starting as a prison officer at HMYOI Glen Parva and completing his working life in HMP Everthorpe as a prison governor.

As a Senior Investigator, Bryan worked in Westminster, at home and all around the country, investigating cases of death in custody in UK prisons.

He has worked his way up through the ranks in the prison service, in a diverse array of prisons: Cat A through to Immigration Centres.

His presentation will be a unique opportunity for you to hear about a real-life case of death in custody and how the investigation developed and concluded.
