The Way Forward Event 2017

Towards the end of last year the  North East Lincolnshire Clinical Commisioning Group (CCG) shared with their stakeholder’s information about the Humber Coast and Vale Sustainability and Transformation Plan (STP). The plan set out their proposals for the future direction of health and social care services across the region. This was the first stage in a programme of work that was started in April 2016 by a partnership of local authorities, NHS commissioners and providers and other community based organisations.

As such, the NEL CCG would like to invite patients, carers, voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations, partners, service providers and elected representatives to join them to move this forward here in North East Lincolnshire.

At the Way Forward 2017 health and social care leaders will present information and answer questions about plans for new local models of health and social care; what the STP could mean for people in North East Lincolnshire, and the CCG’s priorities for the coming year.  The Way Forward 2017 will feature interactive workshops about medicines, self-care and prescriptions, thinking differently about how we use primary care services (such as GPs and practice nurses); mental health services for young people; adult social care; and plans to redesign urgent and emergency care services.  There will also be an opportunity to meet the new provider of Community Dermatology Services – Virgin Healthcare – and find out their plans to develop the community-based dermatology services including the introduction of Teledermatology.  The attached programme provides more information about the content of these sessions.
