The Humber Local Enterprise Partnership is supporting the #ThisAbility campaign in the Humber.
You are warmly invited to attend the launch of the This-Ability initiative. This-Ability will showcase how people with a disability can make a major contribution to local business success and challenge the perception of potential negative attitudes to disability employment.

The This-Ability Breakfast Event take place on Friday 7th October 2016 at Hull Truck Theatre (Ferensway) from 8am until 10am.
Did you know that disabled people make up almost 20% of the working age population? Many of whom are highly qualified individuals.
The event aims to demonstrate how much people with disabilities have to offer your business. This-Ability group have recognised that access to the wide range of support for employers is not as accessible as it could be. In response to this we have developed a Humber event to make support, resources, information and funding more accessible to local businesses.
Local organisations Talent Match Humber (on behalf of Humber Learning Consortium), People Against Disability Discrimination, Mencap, the NHS, Hull and East Riding Clinical Commissioning Groups, The Humber LEP, and the Department for Work and Pensions have come together to streamline key provisions for business available in the Humber Region. The event will showcase these projects and provide key information on how each can be tailored to suit your business needs.
They believe that business’ should be making the most of the talent that exists amongst disabled people in the Humber and this event, supported by the Minister for Disabled People, Justin Tomlinson MP, is designed to encourage employers to understand the business benefits of employing disabled jobseekers and becoming ‘Disability Confident’.
