Lincolnshire Heritage Open Days 8th – 11th September 2016

Heritage Open Days celebrates England’s architecture and culture by allowing visitors free access to interesting properties that are either not usually open, or would normally charge an entrance fee. It also includes tours, events and activities that focus on and celebrate the local heritage of the area. Heritage Open Days is England’s biggest and most popular voluntary cultural event and is also held in a further 48 countries across Europe.

Since 1994 the Heritage Lincolnshire has co-ordinated Heritage Open Days within the county. So far there have been over 1,000 events in the past 21 years. In 2015 Lincolnshire’s Heritage Open Days attracted over 20,000 visitors to its 125 free events. Over 500 volunteers and 90 staff helped to make the 2015 programme a great success.

This year’s festival promies to be the biggest yet, with over 180 free events!  This years theme is ‘Natural Lincolnshire’.
