– Call 999 as soon as you can. Or 101 if you don’t need an emergency response but need to report a crime.
– If you think you’re a victim of fraud or scam contact Action Fraud.
– If you’ve been out and you think you’ve been burgled when you get home, don’t go inside unless you’re sure any intruder has gone. Call the Police straight away.
– Lost your keys? Get your locks changed.
– Lost or stolen bankcards? Contact your bank immediately and get them to cancel your cards and send you new ones. The bank phone number will be on your bank statements (or on their cashpoints).
– If you’ve been burgled make a list of missing items and contact your insurance company with details of what has been stolen
