Late summer 2020 saw the introduction of eight large, potted palm trees to North Promenade.
These were funded by Big Local North Cleethorpes and could be found brightening up the area either side of the Pier and along North Promenade.
Each summer since 2017, Big Local and North Prom businesses have joint funded potted plants along the Promenade, to brighten it up for visitors and to draw more footfall towards North Promenade.
In 2020, covid-19 had a big impact, so Big Local paid for the lower maintenance palm trees instead.
Over winter they disappear to be tended by the gardens department of North East Lincolnshire Council, but they will be back in Spring 2021 and hopefully will keep returning for the years ahead.

So now we can the North Promenade to our list of Tree Lined streets in Cleethorpes! (temporarily and lined with palm trees!)
