Christian Action Resource Enterprise’s (CARE) shop is located on Alexandra Road in Cleethorpes and provides furniture free of charge to those in the North East Lincolnshire area who are in need. Over £250,000 has been donated since the shop opened in 1992 to help families or single people in financial hardship.
CARE Shop exists to provide furniture free of charge to those who are not able to access help via the normal channels and have exhausted the benefit system, including the social fund. Stock is donated from North East Lincolnshire residents, mainly from newspaper advertisements, and either sold through the shop to raise funds to cover overheads or donated to those in need.

Help make a difference to those in need across North East Lincolnshire by becoming a volunteer!
CARE are looking for enthusiastic volunteers interested in the retail trade and customer service roles at their shop. The CARE shop is in Cleethorpes so volunteers must be able to get to the shop under their own steam although expenses can be covered.
There is a minimum age of 18 for volunteers. The organisation does have a trial period in operation so the volunteer and organisation can assess suitability of any volunteer to the role.
The CARE shop’s Normal opening hours are Monday-Saturday 9.30-4.30pm.
A basic application form will need to be completed followed by an informal discussion with the store manager.
