Tesco Bags of Help Fund Moves to Monthly Vote
Tesco has announced that starting on Thursday (1 December) its customers can vote each month for their favourite community project.
Bags of Help is Tesco’s local community awards programme where the money raised from the 5p bag levy in Tesco stores is being used to fund community projects across Great Britain. A public vote determines which groups will get a grant of up to £5,000, £2,000 or £1,000.
Spirit of 2012 and Fawcett Society Announce New Grants Programme
Spirit of 2012, in partnership with Fawcett Society and BE Group, has launched the new Spirit of Women Changemakers Small Grants Programme as part of the celebration of the centenary of women’s suffrage in 2018.
The new Spirit of Women Changemakers small grants programme has been created as part of the Spirit of 2012’s Spirit of Women programme to mark and celebrate the centenary of the iconic moment in 1918 when women first won the right to vote.
Rosa Launches Woman to Woman Fund
Rosa, the UK Fund for Women and Girls, has announced the launch of the Woman to Woman fund.
The Woman to Woman Fund has been created by Rosa with funding from the Tampon Tax Fund which was set up to support women’s charities through the VAT raised on sanitary products. Rosa has been awarded £2.2 million from VAT receipts on sanitary products, via HM Treasury for a programme of grants and support to small grassroots women’s groups.
