FUNDING: Supporting Offenders’ Rehabilitation

The Triangle Trust 1949 Fund is a grant making charity established by Deed in 1949 by Sir Harry Jephcott. Although originally set up to provide hardship and education grants to individuals associated with the Glaxo pharmaceutical company, they have evolved and now primaril give grants to charities supporting those in need.

The Triangle Trust is inviting applications for Development Grants from not-for-profit organisations whose sole purpose is to support the rehabilitation of offenders and ex-offenders. The funding is for core costs and increasing long-term sustainability. The Trust would like to see applicants use these grants to develop sustainable income sources. Funding is available for up to £80,000 over three years.

The closing date for submissions is 12 noon on Thursday 3rd November 2016.

Community Grants

NHS England’s ‘celebrating participation in healthcare’ community grants scheme has opened for its second year. Grants of up to £1000 are available to voluntary organisations who want to showcase how they have been working with patients and the public to involve them in health services.

The community grants will be awarded to organisations who want to tell the story of their patient and citizen participation work in a creative and appealing way. This could be through film, photo or audio books, leaflets and posters, graphics or comics – it’s up to the organisation to choose what works best for their project! The final product must be something that highlights best practice and can be shared with others to encourage them to involve patients and the public.

Applicants will need to tell NHS England about the successful project they would like to highlight and how they will use the grant to showcase this work. You can apply for the grants online and the deadline for submission is Wednesday 21st September 2016.

NHS England knows that patient groups, voluntary sector organisations and community groups all over England are involved in shaping and improving health services.  By sharing examples of good practice NHS England can highlight the innovative ways that people are getting involved in their health and care.

The grant scheme first ran in 2015.  Find out more about last year’s projects.
