VANEL are pleased to be supporting “Sportivate”, a National Lottery funded ‘Sport England’ Programme, which launched in 2011. “Sportivate” aims to continue to the legacy of the 2012 Olympic Games in London, by giving young people between the ages of 11 and 25-years-old, and who are not particularly sporty, the chance to discover a sport that they love. In the wake of the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio which ended this weekend, there couldn’t be a better time to get involved and disover a new sport.
“Sportivate” is inviting youth clubs and organisations’ that work with young people to apply for funding and recieve six-to-eight wees of free or subsidised coaching in a range of sporting activities. You do not have to have a sporting background to apply for “Sportivate” funding.
You can apply for:
- Sport Coaches/instructors
- Facility hire
- Equipment
- Training/leadership courses
- Incentives to enable support and motivate young people to engage in sporting activities after the programme has ended
