As a valued member of our community,
please help us shape our equality and inclusion priorities.
Humberside Fire and Rescue Service provides employment and services for the whole community and is committed to providing accessible services to the diverse communities served.
To be able to do this effectively, we need to engage with staff and communities, gather feedback, and establish where improvements can be made.
By working with over fifty members of staff, we have identified gaps and inequalities, and to address these, we have established some equality and inclusion priorities.
We now need feedback from you to help shape and develop the equality and inclusion priorities to ensure that the needs of all community members are addressed.
Why should you get involved?
We are committed to listening to your views. By taking part in this consultation, you can help shape the equality and inclusion priorities and contribute to improving the way services are delivered and staff are engaged.
Once your feedback has been received and considered the final equality and inclusion priorities will be agreed by Members of the Fire Authority. The leaders of HFRS will then be responsible for ensuring that they are actioned within the organisation.
In 2017, we will be published information on our website about improvements which have been made and challenges which have been encountered when delivering the equality and inclusion priorities.
Please read the information about the priorities here and complete the short survey at the end. The consultation closes on Tuesday 23 August 2016.
As a member of our community, your opinion is valued and we urge you to get involved. Your feedback can really make a difference.
Kind regards
Jason Kirby
Director of Public Safety at Humberside Fire and Rescue Service
