2015 Christmas Appeal
Every year leading up to Christmas CARE runs the Toys for Joy scheme and as always we need your help! We are asking you to partner with us to help put a smile on a local child’s face.
We are asking for donations of good quality second hand or brand new toys and gifts that can be given to children aged 0-18years.
Throughout the year CARE works with and supports very vulnerable and disadvantaged families. As we all begin making our preparations for Christmas there are many parents across North East Lincolnshire who find this time of year the most distressing due to their financial situations. What should be a time of joy and peace, often ends up the opposite for these families.
Our support workers and other local professionals can bring parents they know who are in genuine need to choose a selection of gifts per child. Over the last 5 years we have given over 2,300 gifts out to children in need in the local area.
If you are able to help, donations can be dropped off at the following collection points;
- Our Family & Support Centre, 18 Hainton Avenue, Grimsby. Monday – Friday 10am-3.30pm
- Our charity shop called The CARE Shop on Alexandra Road in Cleethorpes. Monday – Saturday 9:30am- 4:30pm
- Our Immingham Access Point, Margaret Street, Immingham. Monday – Friday 10am-3.30pm
Please can all donation be brought to CARE by Friday 4th December.
If you wish to organise a big collection we can arrange for the toys collected, just contact the reception on 01472 232310. Please find attached a poster to display at your collection point.
