Making a Difference
All organisations have an Equal Opportunity/ Diversity policy in place. They strive to ensure that staff and volunteers feel confident in its implementation. A wide cross section of skills, abilities and motivation in a work force can make the task difficult.
We can offer the following “participant friendly” training opportunities to appropriate organisations without charge:
Dealing with Difference ( and feeling ok) Tuesday 10th November 10 till 12
*to consider what is meant by equality, diversity, prejudice and discrimination
*to consider how prejudice can affect our work with others
*to feel more confident in “dealing with difference”
Communication ( a key to confidence) Wednesday 25th November 1pm till 3pm
*to identify skills needed for effective communication
*to identify barriers to effective communication skills
