Involve’s final events: request for support

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all the support you have given us in attending and promoting our events over the years – we have really valued your input and collaboration.

We are still running valuable regional events between now and the end of November, when Involve will cease trading. We would therefore be really grateful if you could once again share the following upcoming events with your networks.

Not just another consultation: the VCSE Review

Two chances to shape the third sector’s future role in health and wellbeing

The VCSE review is looking at the contribution the VCSE sector makes to improving health and wellbeing. It will make recommendations to national decision makers about how this contribution can be sustained and extended through investment and partnerships. This is your chance to help decision makers sustainably support and optimise the potential of the VCSE sector in the future. As key delivery partners or potential partners, your views on the challenges, barriers and opportunities for the VCSE sector will help to directly influence future policy and practice in health and social care.

What kind of region do we want to live in?

Saturday 7 November 2015, 11.00am – 4.00pm, Carlisle Centre, Bradford

As people living in places across England’s north we have no choice but to work together to bring back the authority and responsibility we need to look after ourselves and each other. No one is going to do it for us.

Please come along to listen, talk and share ideas about the kind of region we want to live in and why. This will be the first in an ongoing series of activities to make links between people, create new ideas and make new things happen. The event is open to, and welcomes, anyone who is making their life here now.

Working together

How can our utility companies better support local communities?

Thursday 26 November 2015, 9.15am – 4.00pm, St George’s Centre, Leeds

Are you aware that the organisations that distribute electricity, gas and water to our homes and businesses also do significant work to support “vulnerable” customers and address fuel poverty, safety issues, and energy and water efficiency? Yorkshire and Humber’s three utility companies, Northern Powergrid, Northern Gas Networks and Yorkshire Water, are coming together with Involve to host a free event to engage with the voluntary & community, social housing, social care and health sectors.

You will be able to meet key members of staff, take part in collective discussions on issues of joint interest and start to shape future partnership opportunities to benefit your organisation and the communities you serve.

Feedback from Involve and Northern Powergrid’s event in February this year:
