North East Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) plan and arrange adult social care services on behalf of the local council. The council has asked the local CCG to devise plans to reduce the adult social care budget by £2 million pounds. Previous savings of over £7 million have already been made without fundamentally changing front line services. We have done this in the main by finding the savings needed from administrative and general support functions and by ensuring we offer people ways of regaining their independence so they don’t have on-going expensive care needs.
The fact that the council now has even less money to spend on services means that we have had to design new plans to ensure we are still able to support and care for people who are the most vulnerable in our society or have the most complex care needs. Proposals have therefore been made to change the way day care and day opportunities and meals on wheels services are provided and funded.
North East Lincolnshire CCG would like to know your views on the proposed changes and you can take part using the following link: Survey Link
It is important that we reach as many local people in NEL as we can to offer the opportunity to take part in this survey and would like to ask if you could please support us by promoting and sharing the following information and survey link with colleagues, family, friends and community groups.
Your response to these proposals would be very much appreciated. The online questionnaire will be available until Friday 12th June 2015.
If you have any questions or would like to request a copy of this questionnaire in another format please contact Selene Plevey at SMSR on 0800 1380845 (email: splevey@smsr.co.uk).
