“Roles and Responsibilities of Trustees” training 13th November

If you are a new Trustee recently joined a Charity board, then depending upon your induction, you may still have a lot of unanswered questions.

The same may apply if you’re still thinking about becoming a Trustee for the first time, or even if you’ve been in the role for a while you may still have questions as to what this role of Trustee really involves.

VANEL can help.  On Thursday 13th November, as part of National Trustee’s Week, we’re holding a “Roles and Responsibilities of Trustees” training session.

The two hour training course will help Trustees learn:
what they must do
what they should do
what they could do
how to behave
how to be useful to the organisation
how to learn and develop themselves and gain from trusteeship
how to get support
how to work as an individual trustee but also as part of the team
and more…

We’ll take a look at:
Trusteeship – an opportunity and a responsibility
The legal trustee
The principled trustee
The purposeful trustee
The well behaved trustee
The skilled trustee
The effective trustee
The supported trustee

So if you would like to quickly learn much more about this role as a Trustee, come along to this course.

This training session from VANEL is held as part of National Trustees’ Week 2014 which annually showcases the great work that trustees do and highlights opportunities for people from all walks of life to get involved and make a difference.  During Trustees’ Week (10th-16th November) VANEL has 5 events planned over 5 days which should be of interest to anyone involved with the support or management of a local non-profit or charity.

Normally VANEL charges a full fee for this training session, but this is reduced for Trustees’ Week to just £5 per person.

Space is very limited, so only a maximum of two attendees per organisation please.

To book a place or to discuss this further, please contact Karl Elliott at VANEL via 01472 235311 or preferably email karl@vanel.org.uk.

[ We are also able to run this course again at a later date or can deliver it directly to your whole board of Trustees.  Both are chargeable but if you are interested please contact Karl to discuss. ]
