Voluntary Action North East Lincolnshire has been awarded the silver award, in recognition of the organisation’s continued efforts to promote a healthier working environment.
The team at VANEL have worked on a range of initiatives in promoting the importance of physical activity, positive mental health and creating a safe environment within the workplace.

Allen Young, Chair noted that “the Trustees are very pleased that the staff and volunteers are making time in their extremely busy work programmes to support each other and set an example of best practice in workplace health.”
Paula Grant, Chief Officer Voluntary Action North East Lincolnshire, said “I am really proud of the positive approach the whole team has taken to creating a healthy and happy work place and the range of activities we have completed.”

Dan Pyrah, North East Lincolnshire Healthy Workplace Programme Manager, said “It has been really good working with VANEL, helping to support them to achieve their silver award, but more importantly improving the health and wellbeing of the workforce.”
“A huge amount of effort and commitment has been put into achieving the award. Ongoing development has continued from when achieving the Bronze award, new initiatives have been put into place including Mental Health related awareness training, Health MOT’s for staff, physical activity challenges and continuous awareness and promotion of national health topics. Fantastic work!”
