From 2012 until 2025, VANEL<\/strong> was actively involved with the Big Local North Cleethorpe<\/strong> programme. We were the Locally Trusted Organisation throughout the programme delivery and our team members helped deliver on the initiatives planned by the committee. John and Karl led the work as Development Workers and overall the programme delivered many impacts throughout the North Cleethorpes area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The programme formally came to an end in January 2025 – and you can read the story of our final event here<\/a>. And we developed a website reflecting back on the whole project here<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nationally Local Trust<\/a> was the organisation responsible for the Big Local programme – overseeing the 150 Big Local areas nationwide. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

An exciting update this week is the launch by Local Trust of a new online resource – “Learning from Big Local<\/strong>“<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The website shares one of the biggest collections of learning about local change. The website was developed by Local Trust as a legacy from Big Local and brings together research, resident stories and practical insight into what it really takes for communities to lead change, and how funders, researchers, policymakers and practitioners can enable it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The website contains learning from 150 communities and 15 years of experience. It’s a new, invaluable resource for community-led change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

VANEL was proud to be part of the Big Local movement and would encourage you to the visit the new website<\/a> to learn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
