{"id":4038,"date":"2014-11-25T10:34:36","date_gmt":"2014-11-25T10:34:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/vanel.org.uk\/va\/?p=4038"},"modified":"2014-11-25T10:34:36","modified_gmt":"2014-11-25T10:34:36","slug":"multi-faith-safeguarding-hub-launched","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vanel.org.uk\/va\/2014\/11\/multi-faith-safeguarding-hub-launched\/","title":{"rendered":"Multi-faith safeguarding hub launched"},"content":{"rendered":"<table style=\"height: 939px;\" width=\"531\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>Safe Network is pleased to announce the launch of our new safeguarding resource for faith groups: <a href=\"http:\/\/nspccmail.org.uk\/cgi-bin4\/DM\/t\/nCPVo0mY7WM05Jv0CLE4b0EJ\">the Multi-faith safeguarding hub.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>This unique online resource produced by Safe Network and partners from across the faith and voluntary sector provides access to a range of information, resources, support and networking opportunities with a multi-faith focus.<\/p>\n<p>The hub aims to encourage faith based groups and organisations to share good safeguarding practice with each other.<\/p>\n<p>It covers the six main faiths in the UK; Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism and Sikhism as well as an Inter-faith section. Within each section you will find:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a film showing personal faith statements and activities with children and young people<\/li>\n<li>faith-specific stories and texts which show how children and young people are valued<\/li>\n<li>safeguarding case scenarios<\/li>\n<li>examples of best practice<\/li>\n<li>information and resources<\/li>\n<li>details of specialist organisations or other relevant links.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Multi-faith hub is suitable for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>individuals with a safeguarding role in their faith setting<\/li>\n<li>support services, community groups or other organisations who engage with their faith sector on safeguarding issues<\/li>\n<li>local safeguarding children boards (LSCBs)<\/li>\n<li>anyone with an interest in safeguarding within a faith setting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This online resource is FREE and can be <a href=\"http:\/\/nspccmail.org.uk\/cgi-bin4\/DM\/t\/nCPVo0mY7WM05Jv0CLE4b0EJ\">accessed here. <\/a><\/p>\n<p>We will also be running a webinar on Wednesday 3rd December on using this new resource, so <a href=\"http:\/\/nspccmail.org.uk\/cgi-bin4\/DM\/t\/nCPVo0mY7WM05Jv0CLE4c0EK\">click here <\/a>to book your space.<\/p>\n<p>Do <a href=\"http:\/\/nspccmail.org.uk\/cgi-bin4\/DM\/t\/nCPVo0mY7WM05Jv0CLE4s0Ea\">let us know<\/a> what you think.
