If you don\u2019t and your accounts are filed late, an automatic penalty will be applied.<\/p>\n<p>Act now before the filing deadline<\/p>\n<p>To apply for an extension online you will need:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your company number<\/li>\n<li>An email address<\/li>\n<li>Information as to why you need more time<\/li>\n<li>Any documents that support the application (optional)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Whilst you will have to apply for the extension to be granted, those citing issues around COVID-19 will be \u2018automatically and immediately\u2019 granted an extension.<\/p>\n<p>Please do be aware however, that this will not change your future filing dates.<\/p>\n<p>You can make an application through the fast-track online system which only takes 15 minutes to apply.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t forget, you must send your application to Companies House before your normal filing deadline.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/companies-to-receive-3-month-extension-period-to-file-accounts-during-covid-19\">Information here<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/beta.companieshouse.gov.uk\/extensions\">extension page here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<!--themify_builder_content-->\n<div id=\"themify_builder_content-21815\" data-postid=\"21815\" class=\"themify_builder_content themify_builder_content-21815 themify_builder tf_clear\">\n    <\/div>\n<!--\/themify_builder_content-->\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If your filing date with Companies House is approaching then there is now an extension to take into account the effects of Coronavirus.
