FREE fun down on the beach was the order of the day in Cleethorpes, when a group of young pepole organised sports sessions for all.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Members of our IGNITE team, our youth volunteering programme, put together the Cleethorpes Sports Day \u2013 which offered free activities for all the family.<\/p>\n

VANEL\u2019s Youth Leadership Manager, Jenny Hodson, is a former British and Grimsby Hockey Club player, now playing for Kingston Upon Hull and North Region. She \u00a0was delighted to be playing her sport on the beach!<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is a really good thing to do, you can see we have so many activities for everyone and children and adults are enjoying it,\u201d<\/em> said Jenny.<\/p>\n

Youth Leadership Worker Victoria Russell, assistant coach at Grimsby\u2019s Snaprats Community Basketball Club, added: \u201cWhat a brilliant way to spend a lovely day in Cleethorpes and hopefully it will encourage more young people to enjoy sport.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

IGNITE, based at our offices in Bargate, Grimsby, offers young people support and help to volunteer within their communities \u2013 from organising Battle of the Bands, to leading playgroups and environmental projects.<\/p>\n
