Over the past year \u00a36.7million of external funding has been secured to invest in the resort over the next three years.<\/span><\/p>\n

In March 2017 CoastNEL was awarded nearly \u00a34million from the Coastal Communities Fund to help deliver a number of key projects in Cleethorpes to enhance key areas, provide new facilities and deliver events in the resort.<\/span><\/p>\n

Key elements of the project include:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a33.3million which is earmarked to be spent improving the public realm and introducing public art at key arrival sites, the promenades and in the historic town centre streets. This work will build on the \u00a32.77million Townscape Heritage programme due to start in late 2017 \/ early 2018.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a3332K of funding will be spent on marketing and exciting new events to enhance the current programme and help extend the season into an all-year-round tourist destination.<\/span><\/p>\n

Plans to transform a beach-front kiosk into an eye-catching entertainment venue.<\/span><\/p>\n

A visitor economy specialist who will deliver business support in the form of coaching, mentoring and advice to businesses on customer service, technology, business planning, diversification and marketing.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you want to find out more about this, there is an event on Thursday 9 November<\/span><\/span><\/span>, 2.30-7pm at Cleethorpes Library where staff will be on hand to answer any queries and explain information in more detail.<\/span><\/p>\n

The CoastNEL team who successfully led the bid, is a partnership of local business people, arts, heritage and tourism groups and the local authority. <\/span><\/p>\n

Following this it was announced in September 2017 that a further \u00a32million has been awarded to Cleethorpes, through the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF), with an additional \u00a31million contribution from the council put towards the Townscape Heritage programme.<\/span><\/p>\n

The \u2018Discover Cleethorpes Heritage\u2019 Townscape Heritage (TH) programme will deliver a five year regeneration scheme with \u00a31.9million from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) alongside an additional \u00a31million from North East Lincolnshire Council. The majority of these funds will be available as grants to building owners in the area to repair and reinstate original features.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Townscape Heritage programme will focus on conserving and enhancing historic buildings and improving the public realm on Alexandra Road and Sea View Street to build on the town\u2019s character.<\/span><\/p>\n
