A reminder that the VANEL Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on 12th October 2017 at West Marsh Community Centre, Beeson Street, Grimsby at 12 noon.<\/strong><\/p>\n

All Members and Friends of VANEL are invited to attend our AGM.<\/p>\n

The AGM will begin at 12noon and will be completed by 12.30pm. Refreshments and a light buffet will be available immediately afterwards.<\/p>\n

On the day of the AGM we will also be holding a series of 1:1 appointments with funders. Original information about this here<\/a> or keep reading for details and how to book.<\/p>\n

\n4. Annual Report 2016\/17
\n5. Presentation of 2016\/17 Accounts
\n6. Appointment of Auditors 2017\/18

VANEL Member organisations have voting rights but staff and volunteers from all our Members and Friends are invited to attend, support us and hear what we’ve been up to.<\/p>\n

Formal invitations have already gone out to all Members and Friends. If you’ve not received yours then please contact Karl Elliott at VANEL (email) as it is possible that we have the wrong key contact for your organisation.<\/p>\n

Funding Appointments<\/strong><\/p>\n

On the 12th October we will be joined by representatives specifically talking about:
\n\u2013 The Tribune Trust
\n\u2013 WREN funding
\n\u2013 Interserve (Probation Services) & probation funding for the VCS
\n\u2013 The Crime Reduction Fund (CRF)
\n\u2013 Humberside Youth Association Funding
\n\u2013 Big Local North Cleethorpes funding<\/p>\n

Short (15 minute) briefings will happen at 10am, 10.30am, 11am, 11.30am and 1pm and 1.30pm by each of the funders, and then 1:1 appointment slots are scheduled throughout the day, from 10am until 12noon (when the VANEL AGM takes place) and then from 12.45 until around 2pm. There are only a limited number of appointments available so please confirm your booking as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

You can arrange to see:
\n\u2013 John Ford to talk about the Tribune Trust and their funding.
\n\u2013 Sandra Chatters and Jackie Green from Interserve to discuss probation service funding on offer to the voluntary sector.
\n\u2013 Gary Allen, an experienced funding officer who will specifically be talking about WREN funding but can also advise more generally on funding approaches and what might be available for your project. (Appointments with Gary will be charged at \u00a310 each).
\n\u2013 Richard Wendel-Jones from VANEL about the Crime Reduction Fund or the Humberside Youth Association funding, both of which VANEL are the point of contact for.
\n\u2013 John Mooney to talk about how projects in North Cleethorpes may qualify for Big Local funding.<\/p>\n

In addition, other VANEL staff will be available throughout the day for more general conversations related to funding. Karl Elliott and John Mooney will be able to discuss approaches to funding success in general. Karl can also do online funding searches to help you identify what to apply for. And the IGNITE youth mentors will be available to discuss funding sources that are relevant for younger people to apply to or for projects to support younger people.<\/p>\n
