Two of our ongoing support themes are around technology and the use of digital tools as well as good governance and improving approaches to trusteeship on volunteer boards.<\/p>\n
So we’ve updated our training schedule for the rest of 2017 to provide a range of sessions that should cover these topics well.<\/p>\n
Further details in due course, but here is the schedule for the coming months:<\/p>\n
October<\/strong><\/p>\n 3rd – “Cooking up a website”. A half-day introduction on how to build websites for beginners. \u00a320pp (\u00a325pp non-members)<\/p>\n 10th – “Mastering Mailchimp”. 2 hour training session explaining from basics to in-depth on how to create and manage e-newsletters using Mailchimp. \u00a310pp (\u00a315pp non-members).<\/p>\n 24th – “Induction and Refresher Training for Trustees”. Our regular trustees introductory session for those new to the role or those needing to keep updated. This session is 5.30-7.30pm in order to accommodate trustees who might not be able to do daytime. \u00a315pp (\u00a320pp non-members)<\/p>\n November<\/strong><\/p>\n 1st – “WordPress for Beginners”. Half day training course going through how to use WordPress to build your website. Aimed at those not familiar with WordPress. \u00a325pp (\u00a330pp non-members)<\/p>\n 3rd – “Induction and Refresher Training for Trustees”. Repeat of October course but in the morning.<\/p>\n 13th – 17th is National Trustees’ Week. So…<\/p>\n on the 15th we have a “Governance Challenge workshop” in the afternoon. Members only. More details soon.<\/p>\n 28th – repeat of “Mastering Mailchimp” – see above<\/p>\n December<\/strong><\/p>\n 12th – “WordPress Masterclass”. Full day session for those already using WordPress but really needing to get to grips with it and use more of its facilities. \u00a350pp (\u00a360pp non-members)<\/p>\n At this stage all of these training sessions are at VANEL offices.
