Join VANEL for \u2018The World\u2019s Biggest Coffee Morning\u2019 in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support on Friday the 30th<\/sup> September<\/strong> 2016 at Tukes\u2019 Caf\u00e9 in People\u2019s Park, from 11:00am until 2:00pm.<\/p>\n

The coffee morning will be an excellent opportunity for friends and families to come together, have a chat, enjoy a slice (or two) of cake, and remember loved ones who have fought or who are bravely fighting cancer. The event will have a \u2018vintage\u2019 theme and all crockery is being kindly lent to us by Penny Smith, owner of\u00a0 \u2018Penny\u2019s from Heaven\u2019. Tukes’ Cafe will be keeping us hydrated throughout the event,\u00a0 providing the tea, coffee, milk and sugar.\u00a0 Big thank you to Penny and Tukes’ Cafe for their support.<\/p>\n

To make our coffee morning as successful as it can be, and raise as much money as possible for Macmillan Cancer Support, we need your help! <\/strong><\/p>\n

If you think that you can make a Victoria Sponge to rival Mr Kipling or a Salted Caramel Cheesecake that puts all others to shame, why not enter our cake competition? \u00a0There are three categories that you can enter, they are: Best Sponge, Best Tray Bake and Best Cupcake or Muffin. The winner in each category will receive a prize. All cakes entered into the competition will be sold either in their entirety or as slices that are perfect for washing down with a cup of tea or coffee. Don\u2019t forget, we also need cakes, scones and muffins that have been created with tender loving care, for our cake stall! \u00a0Why not put your baking skills to the test and help us to help Macmillan to make sure that no one has to face cancer alone.<\/p>\n

We are asking for a donation of \u00a32 per person to enter the competitions and all proceeds will go to Macmillan Cancer Support.<\/p>\n

If you are interested in taking part in our cake competition, as we hope you are,\u00a0 if you could let us know beforehand we would very much appreciate it.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bakers who wish to enter a cake into one or more of the three competition categories must present their creation(s) at the event by 11:00am<\/strong> sharp. Cakes will be judged by a select panel from 11:10am<\/strong> onwards.<\/p>\n
