You are invited to come along to People\u2019s Park on Sunday 21<sup>st<\/sup> August 2016 from 1pm until 3pm, to enjoy the third instalment this month of &#8216;Picnic In The Park\u2019s&#8217; live music programme.<\/p>\n<p>Internationally acclaimed bassist and one of the UK\u2019s most important band-leaders Gary Crosby will be bringing his phenomenal young band of Tomorrow\u2019s Warriors, to Grimsby for the third event. The band consists of rising stars Mobo award-winner Binker Golding (tenor sax), Shirley Tetteh (guitar), and rhythm master Eddie Hick on drums, with Crosby on double-bass.<\/p>\n<p>In this specially-devised set, this outstanding band will revisits the path to freedom of the US Civil Rights Movement with soulful jazz arrangements of songs from 18th Century slavery through to some of the popular anthemic songs of 20th Century Black America.<\/p>\n<p>Why not pack up a picnic, bring a few chairs and enjoy this free open air programme against the picturesque backdrop of Grimsby\u2019s People\u2019s Park.<\/p>\n<p>Look out for the final &#8216;Picnic in the Park&#8217; event which will take place on Sunday 28<sup>th<\/sup> August from 1pm until 3pm.
