This is a full day course to help ensure your group gets into a good place for putting grant applications together. VANEL Services<\/strong><\/p>\n If you are a Member or Friend<\/a>, then we are happy to speak to you to help find out what funding support you need and to try and point you in the right direction.<\/p>\n If you have some idea what you need grant funding for then we can do a grant search<\/strong> for you.<\/p>\n Once you\u2019re started on your bid writing then we can provide a critical friend support service<\/strong> to help you improve your application.\u00a0 We charge an hourly rate for this service.<\/p>\n We offer training sessions<\/strong> around grant applications \u2013 some scheduled, but more often bespoke to your group and your needs. Again, we charge for this service. Your organisation needs to be \u2018fit for purpose\u2019 in order to be able to complete many applications, and needs to be ready to deliver your grant or funded project well.\u00a0 VANEL can provide support to cover many things including; project management, monitoring support, impact assessment, improving your governance, volunteer management and so on. We can provide much of this as 1:1 consultancy or bespoke training. Our training sessions include a lot more information, but here are some of the key sources to get you started.<\/p>\n A key source of information and advice for the non-profit sector is KnowHow from NCVO<\/strong><\/a>. They have a section on funding<\/a> and about grants<\/a> specifically. Start there.<\/p>\n NCVO also run Funding Central<\/strong><\/a> which is a huge free, searchable database of grants. It\u2019s free for groups with <\u00a3100k turnover.<\/p>\n It\u2019s always worth subscribing to a newsletter\/e-bulletin with details of funders and deadlines.\u00a0 A great national one is from Action Planning<\/a> (here<\/a>) and Sector Support North East Lincolnshire also provide one<\/a>.<\/p>\n If you\u2019re raising funds then you need to make sure you\u2019re sticking to the rules \u2013 so visit the Fundraising Regulator<\/a>.<\/p>\n Start a web search and you\u2019ll find plenty of information to guide you with your funding journey.
