Fusion Creative Winter Show Saturday 26th November
Don’t miss your chance to see the Fusion Creative Winter Show at St. Martin’s Church, Scartho Road, on Saturday 26th November at 7:30pm! The event will feature live performances from the Fusion Ukulele Orchestra and music from the Fusion Community Choir. If you enjoy theatrics, the event will also be home to performances from the Fusion Junior Drama Group and the Fusion Senior Drama Group. Thinkspiration Workshop 29th November
Join Alex and Heather at the YMCA on Tuesday 29th November 2016 for their Thinkspiration workshop for young people aged 17 – 25, to discuss ideas for environmental projects. The event will take place from 1pm until 3pm and you could receive up to £10,000 funding to use digital technology to find innovative solutions to pressing environmental issues. December Volunteer Manager’s Network Meeting
The next Volunteer Manager’s Network Meeting is being held on Monday 5th December 2016 at West Marsh Community Centre from 09:30 until 12 noon. For subscibers of the Voluteer Centre Development Service, the meeting is free to attend. Non-subscribers can choose to subscribe to the service, or pay a one off £10 fee (per person) to attend. Employment Opportunities With Skills Plus and Learning Communities

World Toilet Day This Saturday!
VANEL, in partnership with Anglian Water, will be holding a World Toilet Day (WTD) event on Saturday 19th November 2016 at People’s Park. The event aims to increase awareness of the global sanitation crisis affecting 2.4 billion people worldwide, and will serve as the launchpad of the O2 funded IGNITE project “Explorabubble”. We will have a bubble machine, giant bubble wands and bubble-themed crafts and activities which the whole family can get involved with. If you like bubbles, this is the event for you! Winter Wonderland is returning to Cleethorpes Meridian Showground for four days this December and promises to be even more magical than last year. The Department of Health have introduced a new listening programme to find out more about the experiences of people with dementia and their carers starts in England. The programme will include different ways of gathering people’s views and experiences, both in person and online. Read on to find out more.
Carelink Christmas Special on Telecare Alarms
Would you feel reassured and safer in your home if you could summon assistance at the press of a button? Maybe you are worried about a friend, relative or neighbour who may be unable to phone for help if they were to have an accident in their home? Why not contact Carelink to find out more about their in-home telecare alarm equipment. The alarm costs £30 to install and £14 per month thereafter for the service. Macmillan Coffee Morning
VANEL’s IGNITE team are pleased to have received a certificate from Macmillan Cancer Support recognising the huge effort that was made by the whole community at our coffee morning event back in September. In just over 3 hours the coffee morning raised £288.27! Read on to view the certificate and find out more about the event.

The Mission to Seafarers: Volunteering Opportunities Available
The Mission to Seafarers strives to meet the needs of all seafarers and their families, irrespective of faith or cultural background. Its mission is to care for the shipping industry’s most important assets, it people. The charity are looking for enthusiastic volunteers aged 18 or over, to help them carry out their vital work with Seafarers from all parts of the world, who visit Immingham Docks. Flexible long or short term volunteering opportunities are available. You must have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle. Are You Interested Becoming A Community Health Champion?
VANEL’s Community Health Champions (CHC) project is on the lookout for people aged 16 or over who have an interest in health and wellbeing, to become volunteer Community Health Champions. As a CHC you will work as part of a team helping to deliver health and wellbeing messages to people of all ages and from all backgrounds across North East Lincolnshire. This opportunity would be particularly beneficial to anyone who wishes to study or gain employment within the healthcare sector. All volunteer CHC’s will be enrolled on CERTA’s Health Champion Level 1 training and have the opportunity to gain other relevant qualifications at a later stage if so required.
