Looking Back: Sportivate Success

This Ability Event Friday 13th January 2017
The next This Ability Humber event takes place on Friday 13th January 2017 from 07:45am until 10:00am at Cleethorpes Memorial Hall, Grimsby Road, Cleethorpes, DN35 8AH. This Ability aims to bring together local and National initiatives such as Disability Confident, Department of Work and Pensions, Job Centre Plus, Humber Learning Consortium, PADD, Mencap, Care Plus Employability Services Talent Match Humber, The Humber Local Enterprise Network’s Skills Pledge, Local employers and Access to Work to streamline accesses to Information advice and guidance for employers in the Humber Region.

‘Free’ Sage Accounts Courses through Greater Grimsby Learning
Greater Grimsby Learning are running ‘Free’ Sage accounts courses for a limited time for people aged 18 and over and who are claiming benefits. The training will take place at their address at 170 Victoria Street, Grimsby. Read on for more details.

Do you have half a day a week to spare or maybe even a full day. The CARE shop at Cleethorpes are currently looking for new volunteers to join their their friendly hardworking team at their busy shop on Alexandra Road. NHS England announces £101 million of new funding for new care model vanguards
NHS England has announced £101 million of new funding to support and spread the work of the new care model vanguards. The vanguards are improving the care received by millions of people across England. Through the new care models programme, complete redesign of whole health and care systems are being considered.
Friends of Cleethorpes Heritage Event on Lost Abbeys around Grimsby and Cleethorpes
Enjoy a warm beverage and a slice of cake as you find out about ‘Lost Abbeys’ around Grimsby and Cleethorpes at a talk hosted by Friends of Cleethorpes Heritage and delivered by David Start. The talk will take place on Saturday 28th January at St. Peter’s School on Cambridge Road, Cleethorpes at 2pm. Tickets can be purchased from the Tourist Information at Cleethorpes Library at a cost of £4 per person.
VCSE Health and Wellbeing Alliance
Applications from voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations to join a new VCSE Health and Wellbeing Alliance are being requested from The Department of Health (DH), NHS England and Public Health England (PHE). The closing date for applications is noon on Wednesday 22nd February 2017.
