Grimsby Philharmonic Society‘s Spring Concert will take place in the wonderful concert hall of the Grimsby Central Hall on May 11th. The programme gives the people of Grimsby and the surrounding area a chance to hear the beautiful ‘Eternal Light’, by Howard Goodall, a requiem but one offering solace to the grieving as opposed to offering payers of salvation and so also includes some poems in English. The choir will also sing two of his anthems including ‘The Lord is my Shepherd’, the well known theme tune of ‘The Vicar of Dibley’ and two anthems by John Rutter. The choir will be conducted by Susan Hollingworth and accompanied by the Lindsey Chamber Orchestra who will also perform an item of their own choice.
Tickets available from the box office or members of the choir price £15, £12 and £10.
