Are you a small community transport provider? Do you or does somebody you know use community transport services?
Following a recent investigation of an individual Community Transport Organisation (CTO) by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency, the Department for Transport has indicated a new approach to the licensing of some CTOs and their drivers.
The House of Commons Transport Committee is now investigating the new approach and the effect it could have on the community transport sector. They would particularly like to hear from service providers and users about what impact it is likely to have on them.
Do you, a family member, or somebody you know use community transport services? We’d like to hear from you on our online forum.
Do you have any concerns about how your service is licensed and regulated?
What effect does the service have on your quality of life?
Are you are involved in a small community transport organisation? We’d like to hear from you on our online forum.
Do you think you are likely to be affected by the new interpretation of licensing rules?
If yes, what effect could it have on your services?
Do you think community transport services could be at risk?
You don’t have to answer all of these questions on the forum, and please also suggest any questions you think we should be asking the Department of Transport.
Although submissions for evidence close today (3rd Nov) the online forum remains open throughout the inquiry so if you’re interested head over to https://www.parliament.uk/business/committees/committees-a-z/commons-select/transport-committee/community-transport-online-forum/ to find out more.
