Voluntary Action North East Lincolnshire’s Volunteer Managers Network is holding a Volunteer Recruitment Fair on Friday 2nd June 2017, 10 am to 2 pm in the Floral Hall, People’s Park, Park Drive, Grimsby. The event will launch this year’s National Volunteers Week which takes place from 1st – 7th June.
Come and meet representatives from local organisations such as NAVIGO, YMCA, Youth Offending Service and Care Plus Group Hope Street Collaborative and find out how you can give a little bit of your time for the benefit of others. There will be opportunities that suit people with different interests and skills so whether you are volunteering to find paid work or want to give something back to the community, come and find out how you can get involved. There will be free family activities to get involved in such as 15 minute Thai Chi sessions delivered by Sylvia Leary of the Care Plus Group, face painting for the children and other fun activities are planned. Refreshments will be available and whatever the weather, this indoor and outdoor event will definitely take place! You can even enjoy a walk around People’s Park afterwards!
