{"id":638,"date":"2021-03-25T15:31:03","date_gmt":"2021-03-25T15:31:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vanel.org.uk\/greencleethorpes\/?p=638"},"modified":"2021-03-25T15:31:03","modified_gmt":"2021-03-25T15:31:03","slug":"suggitts-lane-accessible-footbridge-gets-go-ahead-for-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vanel.org.uk\/greencleethorpes\/2021\/03\/suggitts-lane-accessible-footbridge-gets-go-ahead-for-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"Suggitts Lane accessible footbridge gets go ahead for 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>After a long battle by residents, funding has been found and agreement has been reached for a new, accessible footbridge to be build over the railway at the end of Suggitts Lane.<br>The crossing has been closed for safety reasons for a long time now and this has cut off North Promenade from the Grimsby Road side of the line and interrupted walking and cycling routes that connect these parts of town. So it\u2019s welcome news to hear that a way to cross will once again be in place before the end of 2021.<br>All the plans and images are available now on the NELC website where they are available for public comment and consultation. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nelincs.gov.uk\/your-council\/consultations-and-surveys\/have-your-say\/\">Visit the consultation page here<\/a>.<br><a href=\"https:\/\/suggittslane.questionpro.eu\/\">The public feedback survey closes on 26th March 2021 &#8211; make sure you complete it here<\/a>.<br>We\u2019ll keep an eye on this project as it progresses as it will fundamentally change the way people can navigate around the town. Access the Cycle Hub at the station and to the promenade shopping and for exercise will be simple again.
