Beaconthorpe Church Raised Gardens

In 1966 Beaconthorpe Church on Grimsby Road created a small community garden which is publicly facing onto the pavement and there for the community to enjoy.

Over the years these have been tended by the church and by community groups.

Back in 2016, the Beaconthorpe Community Edible Garden was being tended by locals involved with Friends of Sidney Park. You can still read a bit about this (with photos) on their old Facebook page here.

As of 2021 the Church is no longer in use and the beds, whilst still there, are no longer a garden.
