The England Coast Path is a grand plan to create a walking route that goes around the entire coast of England joining all seafronts and coastal towns and villages together in one continuous walking route.
It’s a long time in the making and parts of the route are being adopted a bit at a time.
Of course Cleethorpes will become part of this route too.
Cleethorpes is part of the section known as the “Mablethorpe to Humber Bridge” segment (see photo). Our stage is still in the planning stages and we’re waiting for the route to be discussed or shared or put out for consultation.
Going through Cleethorpes, some of this walking route is going to be pretty easy and obvious – walking the length of the promenades through the resort for example. But when it gets the docks and ABP land it might get more interesting.
At this stage we’re just sharing information about the route so that when there is something more substantive to discuss everyone can get involved.
So here is some useful information about the England Coastal Path:
An overview of the whole England Coastal Path project is here.
Updates about our stretch of path are here. And here about the rest of the North of England.
