Do you need Trustees for your board?\u00a0 Do you want help in finding new or more effective ways to recruit to your board or committee?<\/strong><\/p>\n

VANEL is running 5 events over 5 days during National Trustees’ Week.\u00a0 And on Monday 10th November we kick off the week with “Join Us and Make a Difference” – an informal, lunchtime event to bring together anyone interested in Trusteeship or Good Governance and to look at ways we can all help each other to get more people volunteering as Trustees for local charities.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Who should attend?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Anyone interested in governance or Trusteeship.
\nExisting Trustees.\u00a0 People interested in or thinking about becoming Trustees.\u00a0 Managers or staff working out how to improve their board or fill board positions.<\/p>\n

What is the session?<\/strong><\/p>\n

It’s an informal start to the various activities VANEL has planned for Trustees’ Week.<\/p>\n

We’ll take a look at key issues affecting charity boards and committees locally and what can be done to help improve local governance.
\nIn particular we’ll explore resources and approaches to promoting Trusteeship and trustee vacancies and how to recruit onto a board effectively.
\nWe’ll be promoting currently available local Trustee vacancies and we’ll provide you with ideas, techniques and resources to take away that will help your organisation recruit more effectively.<\/p>\n

It’s not a training session.\u00a0 Through a short keynote presentation, a workshop style session and then very informal networking over a light buffet lunch, we hope anyone who is thinking about improving their board, their governance techniques or their trustee recruitment will benefit from the session.<\/p>\n

Practicalities<\/strong><\/p>\n

Monday 10th November 2014<\/strong>
\n12noon – 2pm
\n<\/strong>at OpenDoor, Albion Street, Grimsby
\nLight buffet refreshments will be provided.
\nNo fee to attend, but please book with us to help us with catering purposes.<\/p>\n

This training session from VANEL<\/strong> is held as part of National Trustees\u2019 Week 2014<\/a> which annually showcases the great work that trustees do and highlights opportunities for people from all walks of life to get involved and make a difference.\u00a0 During Trustees\u2019 Week (10th-16th November) VANEL has 5 events planned over 5 days which should be of interest to anyone involved with the support or management of a local non-profit or charity.<\/p>\n

Please turn up for a 12noon start.\u00a0 A light lunch is provided.\u00a0 There is no fee for this session, but please contact us to book a place to help with our catering requirements.<\/p>\n
