If you are a new Trustee recently joined a Charity board, then depending upon your induction, you may still have a lot of unanswered questions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The same may apply if you’re still thinking about becoming a Trustee for the first time, or even if you’ve been in the role for a while you may still have questions as to what this role of Trustee really involves.<\/strong><\/p>\n

VANEL can help.\u00a0 On Thursday 13th November, as part of National Trustee’s Week, we’re holding a “Roles and Responsibilities of Trustees” training session.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The two hour training course will help Trustees learn:
\nwhat they must<\/span> do
\nwhat they should<\/span> do
\nwhat they could<\/span> do
\nhow to behave
\nhow to be useful to the organisation
\nhow to learn and develop themselves and gain from trusteeship
\nhow to get support
\nhow to work as an individual trustee but also as part of the team
\nand more…<\/p>\n

We’ll take a look at:
\nTrusteeship \u2013 an opportunity and a responsibility<\/strong>
\n The legal trustee<\/strong>
\n The principled trustee<\/strong>
\n The purposeful trustee<\/strong>
\n The well behaved trustee<\/strong>
\n The skilled trustee<\/strong>
\n The effective trustee<\/strong>
\n The supported trustee<\/strong><\/p>\n

So if you would like to quickly learn much more about this role as a Trustee, come along to this course.<\/p>\n

Practicalities<\/strong><\/p>\n

Thursday 13th November 2014<\/strong>
\n1.30pm – 3.30pm
\nregistration and refreshments from 1.15pm<\/strong>
\nat West Marsh Community Centre (boardroom) in Grimsby<\/p>\n

This training session from VANEL<\/strong> is held as part of National Trustees\u2019 Week 2014<\/a> which annually showcases the great work that trustees do and highlights opportunities for people from all walks of life to get involved and make a difference.\u00a0 During Trustees\u2019 Week (10th-16th November) VANEL has 5 events planned over 5 days which should be of interest to anyone involved with the support or management of a local non-profit or charity.<\/p>\n

Normally VANEL charges a full fee for this training session, but this is reduced for Trustees’ Week to just \u00a35 per person.<\/p>\n

Space is very limited, so only a maximum of two attendees per organisation please.<\/p>\n
