{"id":2446,"date":"2013-08-09T15:04:32","date_gmt":"2013-08-09T14:04:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/vanel.org.uk\/va\/?p=2446"},"modified":"2013-08-09T15:04:32","modified_gmt":"2013-08-09T14:04:32","slug":"vanel-achieves-the-silver-healthy-workplace-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/vanel.org.uk\/va\/2013\/08\/vanel-achieves-the-silver-healthy-workplace-award\/","title":{"rendered":"VANEL achieves the Silver Healthy Workplace Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Voluntary Action North East Lincolnshire<\/strong> has been awarded the silver award, in recognition of the organisation\u2019s continued efforts to promote a healthier working environment.<\/p>\n<p>The team at VANEL have worked on a range of initiatives in promoting the importance of physical activity, positive mental health and creating a safe environment within the workplace.<br \/>\n\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026.<br \/>\n<b>Allen Young, Chair noted that \u201cthe Trustees are very pleased that the staff and volunteers are making time in their extremely busy work programmes to support each other and set an example of best practice in workplace health.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Paula Grant, Chief Officer Voluntary Action North East Lincolnshire, said \u201cI am really proud of the positive approach the whole team has taken to creating a healthy and happy work place and the range of activities we have completed.\u201d<\/b><br \/>\n\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026.<br \/>\nDan Pyrah, North East Lincolnshire Healthy Workplace Programme Manager, said \u201cIt has been really good working with VANEL, helping to support them to achieve their silver award, but more importantly improving the health and wellbeing of the workforce.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA huge amount of effort and commitment has been put into achieving the award. Ongoing development has continued from when achieving the Bronze award, new initiatives have been put into place including Mental Health related awareness training, Health MOT\u2019s for staff, physical activity challenges and continuous awareness and promotion of national health topics.
