It\u2019s that time of year once again – National Trustees\u2019 Week (1st – 5th November).<\/p>\n
Whether you\u2019re an existing Trustee of a charity; someone thinking of becoming a Trustee; or a collective board of Trustees wanting to evolve, there\u2019s something going on that should be helpful for you this week.<\/p>\n

Their resources are normally for paid up NCVO members only, but this week they\u2019ve made resources freely available. Now\u2019s the time to get hold of information and resources to help your charity governance.<\/p>\n There is more on offer from NCVO this week. Read about it all here<\/a>.<\/p>\n Here too are five, five-minute guides to key skills Trustees need to know (on the Charity Commission Website).<\/p>\n And why not use this week to get familiar with; review; or put into practice the Charity Governance Code<\/a>. It\u2019s an invaluable free resource.<\/p>\n Fairly new is the Governance App from DSc. It\u2019s a free online tool for your whole board to learn together about what could be improved. Visit the website here https:\/\/thegovernanceapp.org.uk<\/a><\/p>\n And this week it is the Festival of Trusteeship with a wide range on online support and training sessions. It\u2019s underway, but take a look at what is on offer here https:\/\/www.gettingonboard.org\/festival-of-trusteeship-21<\/a><\/p>\n But this week is also about saying \u201cThank you\u201d <\/i>to every charity Trustee or Director and every voluntary sector committee member. Without these unpaid roles where people commit their time, skills and efforts, it would not be possible for charities and voluntary or community groups across the UK to operate.
