Rather than thinking about services in isolation or in the short term, this new policy requires commissioners to consider long term costs, sustainability and how including Social Value outcomes can possibly reduce pressures and make the most of opportunities in other areas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NELC would like to know what you think about the policy and hear your recommendations via this link: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.surveymonkey.co.uk\/r\/X7DPQBJ\">https:\/\/www.surveymonkey.co.uk\/r\/X7DPQBJ<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>NELC are planning on holding a public sector consultation workshop on 3rd September, if you would like to be invited to the workshop please e-mail <a href=\"mailto:Jamie.dunn@nelincs.gov.uk\">Jamie.dunn@nelincs.gov.uk\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/a>(see more details below)<\/p>\n<p>Please feel free to share with your staff, volunteers, clients and any wider networks you have.<\/p>\n<p>You can read the Social Value Policy here: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nelincs.gov.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/201803-social-value-policy-draft-for-consultation.pdf\">https:\/\/www.nelincs.gov.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/201803-social-value-policy-draft-for-consultation.pdf<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Paper copies will be available at all Lincs Inspire libraries and customer access points upon request.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This consultation is due to finish on 10th September 2018.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Social Value Workshop<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The draft Social Value Policy for North East Lincolnshire is currently out for consultation <a href=\"https:\/\/www.surveymonkey.co.uk\/r\/X7DPQBJ\">https:\/\/www.surveymonkey.co.uk\/r\/X7DPQBJ<\/a> and as part of the process to get people\u2019s views we will be holding a workshop on <strong>Monday 3<sup>rd<\/sup> September at 1pm in the Banqueting Room, Grimsby Town Hall<\/strong>. The workshop will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>provide some background as to why the policy has been developed<\/li>\n<li>explore where the policy could have most impact<\/li>\n<li>give attendees the opportunity to comment on the draft policy and discuss the policy with people from across different sectors<\/li>\n<li>provide examples from other areas where social value is starting to become embedded<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The workshop will be as flexible as possible allowing people to drop in at different times if they are unable to attend the entire event but please note the first 20 minutes or so will give the context. We will make any slides available as a hand-out so people unable to make the start of the workshop will be able to see what has already been presented.<\/p>\n<p>If you have any specific issues you would want to see covered at the workshop please e-mail them to <a href=\"mailto:Jamie.dunn@nelincs.gov.uk\">Jamie.dunn@nelincs.gov.uk<\/a> and we will try to make sure that they are covered.<\/p>\n<p>We are planning to cover all sectors (private, public and voluntary \/ community) at one workshop so that we can explore issues in the round.
