{"id":19177,"date":"2018-05-04T10:23:59","date_gmt":"2018-05-04T09:23:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/vanel.org.uk\/va\/?p=19177"},"modified":"2018-05-04T10:23:59","modified_gmt":"2018-05-04T09:23:59","slug":"invitation-to-a-briefing-on-the-new-access-pathway-for-children-with-additional-needs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/vanel.org.uk\/va\/2018\/05\/invitation-to-a-briefing-on-the-new-access-pathway-for-children-with-additional-needs\/","title":{"rendered":"Invitation to a briefing on the new Access Pathway for children with additional needs."},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s3\">The Access Pathway has been created to make it easier and quicker for children and families to access the right support when children have multiple or complex needs around<br \/>\n<\/span><span class=\"s3\">\u00b7 Communication and interaction<br \/>\n<\/span><span class=\"s3\">\u00b7 Cognition and learning<br \/>\n<\/span><span class=\"s3\">\u00b7 Social, emotional and mental health<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><strong><span class=\"s3\">NELC would like to invite you to one of the briefings below, which have been arranged to raise awareness and understanding of the newly launched Access Pathway.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><strong><span class=\"s3\">WHAT IS THE ACCESS PATHWAY?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s3\">The Access Pathway has been developed to offer a single point of access and a clear pathway for families to access help for children and young people who have difficulties with communication and interaction, cognition and learning and social emotional and mental health. The Access Pathway has been created by colleagues from a wide variety of children\u2019s services as well as parent groups and representatives, and based on feedback from families and aims to provide children and families with the resources and support to manage their everyday lives in NEL.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><strong><span class=\"s3\">WHO SHOULD ATTEND?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s3\">Anyone working with and supporting children and young to enhance their development and achieve their potential:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s3\">GP\u2019s, Paediatricians, Education Providers, SENCO\u2019s, Early Years Practitioners, Family First Practitioners, Childcare providers, Health Visitors and School Nurses, SEN support services, social workers and the voluntary sector.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><strong><span class=\"s3\">WHEN AND WHERE?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s3\">The briefings are free and light refreshments will be available.
