VANEL are looking for four final year students with an interest in community development experience to work 15 hours per week for a year on our Reaching Communities programme: \u201cHelping Young People to Help Each Other to Lead Their Communities\u201d (otherwise kno<\/strong>wn as IGNITE). This is a programme to inspire, support and motivate young people to volunteer and get involved in community development work and become leaders in their local communities.<\/p>\n

The post holders will champion youth-led volunteering, support and advise young volunteers and their host organisations and inspire young people to participate in a wide range of volunteering opportunities across the North East Lincolnshire area. You will bring areas of experience currently being developed via your courses of study, e.g. health\/social care\/sports\/community development\/criminology (other subject will be considered) to help develop links with other students, your peers and other young people with the potential to influence and make an impact in their community via volunteering.<\/p>\n

You will need the ability to support and guide young people to identify, design and deliver their own projects. You will understand and have experience of the voluntary sector and its role within local communities.<\/p>\n

There will be a requirement to work in normal office conditions as well as both inside and outside buildings in the community depending on the activity being delivered and the ability to work flexible hours is essential as evening and weekend work may be required.<\/p>\n
