VANEL is on the lookout for individuals looking to volunteer who might be interested in a range of local opportunities. Descriptions of the roles are below and if any sound of interest then please get in touch with Liz Dugard at VANEL who will explain more, can check your interests and availability and then can refer you onto the hosting organisation.<\/p>\n

Youth Worker<\/strong> \u2013 Needed on several nights of the week various locations<\/p>\n

Media Support<\/strong> \u2013 Are you interested in the media industry, either in journalism, photography or filming.<\/p>\n

Kitchen Assistant<\/strong> \u2013 Help during the afternoon assisting in preparing of meals and serving<\/p>\n

Painter & Decorator<\/strong> \u2013 Requires experience in painting and the ability to work on your own<\/p>\n

Driver \u2013<\/strong> Must have own car, to take individual passengers on journeys<\/p>\n

Residential Care Befriender<\/strong> \u2013 To befriend an older person who is in a care home but has no visitors<\/p>\n

Social Group Befriender<\/strong> \u2013 At various venues across North East Lincs<\/p>\n

Grounds Maintenance & Gardening<\/strong> \u2013 Work at your own pace, taking pride in a small plot of garden<\/p>\n

Dementia Activity Volunteer<\/strong> \u2013 To support at variety of sessions Inc. Arts\/Crafts\/Gardening\/Dancing<\/p>\n

Dementia Community Volunteer<\/strong> \u2013 The ultimate aim of this role is to provide a volunteer service you would be happy for your family to use<\/p>\n

Befriender<\/strong> \u2013 To befriend older people on a one-to-one basis in their own home<\/p>\n

Retail Assistant<\/strong> \u2013 Retail shops across, Grimsby, Cleethorpes & Immingham<\/p>\n

Admin Assistant<\/strong> \u2013 Work is varied, must have good organisational skills<\/p>\n

Patient Support<\/strong> \u2013 Offering much needed support, from meeting & greeting and making and serving refreshments<\/p>\n

Assistant Scout Leaders<\/strong> \u2013 Working with young people, at weekly meetings<\/p>\n

Appropriate Adult Support<\/strong> \u2013 Provides a service to Young People in Police Custody<\/p>\n

Youth Offending Panel Member<\/strong> \u2013 To sit on a panel that meets with young offenders<\/p>\n

Telephone Befriending<\/strong> \u2013 Giving a regular call to someone who may be in need of a friendly ear<\/p>\n

Regional Support Coordinator<\/strong> \u2013 To help raise much needed funds & encourage local support<\/p>\n

Fundraiser \u2013<\/strong> Help organise local events to raise funds<\/p>\n

Collection Box Coordinator<\/strong> \u2013 To place & collect boxes with local organisations<\/p>\n

Photographer<\/strong> \u2013 Take pictures at local events as when required<\/p>\n

Speaker<\/strong> \u2013 To promote awareness of charity locally<\/p>\n

Writer<\/strong> \u2013 Passionate & Creative writers, who can help clients tell their story<\/p>\n

Hair Studio Assistant<\/strong> \u2013 Assisting in local charity salon<\/p>\n

Basic Vehicle maintenance & Cleaner<\/strong> \u2013 Carry out weekly vehicle checks<\/p>\n

Handy Person<\/strong> \u2013 Help with onsite odd jobs<\/p>\n\n
