New report published and worth a read"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">If you\u2019re aged <span class=\"__postbox-detected-content __postbox-detected-date\">16-30<\/span> and volunteering or if you\u2019re supporting young people in volunteering, fundraising or other social action, then this new report will be worth a read.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">\u201cThe independent review of full time social action\u201d has just been published. It looks at why and how younger people get involved in social projects, what issues and barriers exist and outlines practical steps to improve on this.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">The review itself perhaps uncovers nothing new, but there are some clear actions and recommendations to government that are worth exploring.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ncvo.org.uk\/2018\/02\/06\/supporting-young-people-to-get-involved-reflections-on-the-full-time-social-action-review\/\">Read an outline of the report on the NCVO blog here<\/a>, or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/uploads\/system\/uploads\/attachment_data\/file\/679078\/The_Steve_Holliday_Report.pdf\">get the report itself (.pdf) here<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">More immediately, if you are in this age group or supporting younger people then why not get in touch with the IGNITE team at VANEL.
