{"id":15603,"date":"2017-10-30T13:38:48","date_gmt":"2017-10-30T13:38:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/vanel.org.uk\/va\/?p=15603"},"modified":"2017-11-01T13:45:13","modified_gmt":"2017-11-01T13:45:13","slug":"please-can-you-support-cares-christmas-appeal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/vanel.org.uk\/va\/2017\/10\/please-can-you-support-cares-christmas-appeal\/","title":{"rendered":"Please can you support CARE\u2019s Christmas Appeal?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Toy\u2019s for Joy &amp; Christmas Hampers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In November and December, CARE run two Christmas schemes and are hoping people can consider helping them with one or both of the following:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Toy&#8217;s for Joy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Every Christmas CARE runs a \u2018Toys for Joy\u2019 scheme whereby people provide us with toys to redistribute to children living in financial poverty. Over the last 7 years we have given gifts out to over 1,500 children in the local area.<\/p>\n<p>CARE is now arranging \u2018Toys for Joy\u2019 once again and we are asking for our local community to support this. What we ask is that people would donate any new toys to us so we can put a smile on the face of a child on Christmas Day morning.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Create a Hamper<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our other scheme is \u2018Create a Hamper\u2019 whereby we give food hampers to people in desperate need at Christmas time.<\/p>\n<p>To help us do this we are asking people to fill a box by placing an item of food into the box throughout the month of November for local families or single people in food poverty this Christmas.
